Blanket booze ban proposal pushed by WA police divides Kimberley towns

Community leaders in Western Australia’s far north have been told it could take up to three years to assess and decide on a WA Police plan to effectively ban the sale of takeaway alcohol across the Kimberley. Lodged with the WA Liquor Commission last year, the secret application would see all bottle shops across the Kimberley region banned from selling anything other than light beer.
