PayPass Fraud in Kununurra

 

Paypass fraud is when a stolen credit or debit card is used at retail outlets for Tap n Go purchases, generally under $100 where no pin number or signature is required.

In Kununurra, the use of stolen cards to purchase alcohol, cigarettes and sometimes food is rising. If a customer is about to use Paypass and you are even slightly suspicious, you have a right to ask for further identification to prove that the person using the card is the authorised cardholder.
