East Kimberley Cost Reduction Program

As part of the ongoing State Government focus on increasing local content outcomes in regional spending, we are constantly looking at ways to grow the capability and capacity of local businesses here in the Kimberley.

In recent conversations with these businesses, as well as Government procurement personnel, it was communicated that our regional businesses sometimes struggle to stay competitive given the challenges they face in our unique economic environment.

With this in mind, a program has been developed to assist local East Kimberley Businesses to develop skills and knowledge to enable more competitive bidding for Government contracts.

This program has been made possible by the Regional Local Content Initiatives Fund- due to this limited amount of funding the program will be available to 10 East Kimberley Businesses for this round.

The Cost Reduction Program is a free four part program to support businesses who tender for government contracts and is being facilitated by Jodie Sylvester at KAS Accounting in Kununurra, and is designed so that businesses are able to implement these strategies using their current book-keeping/accounting systems.
