Jill Williams

Jill has been in business for over 30 years and fully understands the challenges faced by businesses in regional Australia.  

Originally from a farming background, Jill went on to work within the agricultural sector auditing and consulting in ISO 900 quality systems and industry codes of practice. Experience and business ownership in other industry sectors, hospitality, wholesaling and more recently the drilling industry, means Jill has an understanding of cross industry links and challenges.

Visiting Kununurra  in 2009, Jill and her partner quickly identified the enormous potential of the East Kimberley, a place with outstanding natural resources set within a well-conserved and iconic natural environment.

By the end of 2010 they had moved and based their home and business in Kununurra.

Recognising the opportunities and potential of the region Jill joined the local Chamber of Commerce & Industry in 2010 and is now in her second term as Chairperson.

Jill is passionate about empowering the local community to grow a sustainable economy, to drive shared prosperity from the region’s main drivers ,: Tourism, Agriculture, Rangeland Industries, Minerals & Energy.

Michele Pucci

Michele has extensive experience in strategic planning, strategy implementation, program development, and management and has a strong desire to use her skills to assist in building stronger and vibrant communities. She has worked with two of the leading Aboriginal organisations in the East Kimberley to assist in growing social enterprises and community development initiatives. Michele is currently working as a Regional Director with Jawun a not for profit organisation placing corporate expertise into local Aboriginal organisations.   

Michele has held a range of strategic positions in the Kimberley such as past Chair of Regional Development Australia– Kimberley, 7 years as a Shire Councillor including 3yrs as Shire President for Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley, previous Board member for the Kimberley Development Commission and the Kimberley Training Institute.

Karen Menzel

Director of Barradale Farm for past 20yrs. Our main crops being rockmelons, white and yellow honeydews and butternut pumpkin. These have been rotated with broad acre crops such as chickpeas, chia, maize, borlotti beans, hay, corn and cotton. Managed Kimberleyland Holiday Park in the early 90’s.

John Graham 

John has lived in Kununurra for over six years with his wife, Chana Graham and is currently employed as Manager Communities for Argyle Diamonds. With over 30 years of experience with Rio Tinto he has worked in numerous roles including Trades and Trade Training, Human Resources, Mine Production, Business Improvement and Community Relations. Throughout this time, he has been placed in regional communities and is actively involved in helping them grow. Whilst holding a position on the board of EKCCI John is also a keen member of the Ord Valley Muster Organising Committee.

Lioyd Morley 

Lloyd Morley has over 40 years’ experience in a range of Technical, Customer Service, Sales and Management roles within Telstra and latterly other companies.  As a General Manager with Telstra Country Wide, Lloyd achieved success in the areas of Stakeholder Management and Business Development.  These diverse roles provided considerable understanding of small, medium and large business.

Lloyd was the Chairperson of the Small Business Centre in Kalgoorlie for four years prior to moving to the East Kimberley and is currently the Branch Manager at Vanderfield Kununurra.  Lloyd has gained considerable local knowledge and insight into the Agricultural & Automotive Industries in the East Kimberley over the past three years.

Glenn Taylor 

Glenn Taylor (GT) is a small business owner and has been in the Kununurra for ten years.  GT runs Fit Events, delivering “Exciting sports events in amazing locations”, including the Lake Argyle Swim, Broome Marathon and Lake Argyle Adventure Race.

GT event management achievements includes:

  • Winner: 2016 "Small Business Award (0-4 employees) - East Kimberley.
  • Lake Argyle Swim - winner of the 2014 Event of the Year award - WA Sport & Recreation Industry Awards.
  • Winner: 2016 "Service to Sport" - East Kimberley Sports Awards.

​GT holds a Bachelor of Forest Science from the University of Melbourne (with Honours), Certificate IV in Sport and Recreation Management, Advanced Workplace Traffic Management Certification, Extensive Fire and Emergency Qualifications, and Certificate IV in Health and Safety. 

Outside of his career in Events Management, Glenn has completed multiple (9) Ironman Triathlons, including Hawaii, and is a former national elite triathlete (1999 World Championships).  He has completed many marathons, running, cycling, mountain biking and multi-sport events.  In 2007, he and his wife cycled toured Australia and settled in Kununurra.
